    Programme Overview

    • Set strong foundations

      The programme covers a wide range of skills in HR processes, ranging from transactional to relatively complex, recruitment through to retirement; using HR systems to keep records, providing relevant HR information to the business, working with the business on HR changes and many more.

    • Who is the programme for?

      The programme aims to enhance career progression and build a solid comprehension of HR, so is ideal for:

      • HR Assistants
      • HR/People Administrators or Co-ordinators
      • HR/People Support.

    • What will you learn?

      With hands-on learning led by expert coaches, you’ll develop high-level skills crucial to a modern HR function, from HR analytics to project management.

      Knowledge includes:

      • Understanding organisation structures
      • HR legislation and policy
      • HR team functions and processes
      • How to deal with HR queries
      • Developing solutions to HR problems and escalating complex issues
      • Maintaining staff details on computer systems
      • Handling sensitive situations professionally and confidentially.

    • Where could this take you?

      You’ll gain the qualifications you need for career progression or further development through the Level 5 People Professional Apprenticeship.

    Course Duration: 18 months

    Delivery method

    • Classroom delivery
    • One day per month 

     

    The apprentice will work towards the HR Support Apprenticeship standard at level 3, and may also be required to sit functional skills at level 2 in Maths and English prior to completion (functional skills will not be required if exemptions are held).

    • HR Assistant
    • Office Manager
    • HR Officer
    • HR Manager (within a small organisation)

    During the apprenticeship, the employer and Access Trainer will agree when the apprentice is ready for the end point assessment (EPA).  An independent assessment organisation will carry out the EPA to assess whether the apprentice has met all of the requirements of the standard. EPA includes:

    • Consultative project (around 3000 words)
    • Professional discussion.
