    • Course Objectives
    • Core objectives of the course include:
      • Security & Compliance Concepts: Explain foundational security models like Defense in Depth, the Zero Trust methodology, and the Shared Responsibility Model. Cover basic Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) and the CIA triad (Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability).
      • Identity & Access Management: Describe how Microsoft Entra ID manages authentication, conditional access, and identity protection.
      • Microsoft Security Solutions: Identify capabilities of Microsoft Defender XDR and Microsoft Sentinel for threat protection, visibility, and incident response.
      • Compliance Management: Detail information protection, data lifecycle management, and insider risk management using Microsoft Purview
    • Prerequisites
    • Candidates should be familiar with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 and understand how Microsoft security, compliance, and identity solutions can span across these solution areas to provide a holistic and end-to-end solution. Before attending this course, students must have:

      • General understanding of networking and cloud computing concepts.
      • General IT knowledge or any general experience working in an IT environment.
      • General understanding of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.
