The programme is aimed at those starting a career in accountancy at entry level.
What will you learn?
Apprentices will learn the basics of accounting, including; basic bookkeeping activities, costing and working effectively in finance.
Where could this take you?
The programme can lead to progression into less junior roles, such as Accounts Assistant, Purchase Ledger Clerk, Finance Assistant or Trainee Accounting Technician.

Course duration: Approximately 12 months.
Delivery method:
The apprentice will work towards the Accounts / Finance Assistant Apprenticeship standard at level 2, and may also be required to sit functional skills at level 2 in Maths and English prior to completion (functional skills will not be required if exemptions are held).
During the apprenticeship, the employer and Access Trainer will agree when the apprentice is ready for the end point assessment (EPA).
An independent assessment organisation will carry out the EPA to assess whether the apprentice has met all of the requirements of the standard.
There will be regular AAT exams at the end of each unit. EPA includes:
